Doonbeg Community Lotto in its current format started in 1998.  This followed on from the Bingo Lotto that had run for numerous years prior to that.

Proceeds from the lotto are divided between Doonbeg Community Hall, Doonbeg Football Club and Doonbeg Community Development. It is the main source of regular income for the three groups. The draw takes place every Monday night in one of the pubs in the village.

There have been 20 jackpot winners since the start – the most recent being Gerard McMahon, Cree on 4 August 2014 who won €4,600. Tickets cost €2 each or 3 for €5,  and can be purchased from the Post Office, Shops and Pubs in Doonbeg as well as from designated sellers.

An annual subscription can be purchased from the Doonbeg Development Office for €90. We are grateful to all the sellers and those who help on Monday nights but new sellers are always welcome. Contact the Doonbeg Development Office if willing to assist.
